He was born in rural Mozambique but spent his childhood, adolescence, and youth in the city of Beira. He is the youngest of seven siblings. Today, he is one of the most charismatic figures in Mozambique, one of the most popular and award-winning communicators in Mozambique, and a true mobilizer of the masses. From an early age, he experienced the horrors of civil war alongside his father, who was working in the interior of the country, and ended up being stranded there for several years due to the intensification of the armed conflict. Years later, he managed to make his way to the city of Beira to meet his mother and siblings, after his father negotiated the trip from a military base in an ANTANOV plane, while his father remained in a refugee camp until the end of the Civil War.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This whole process made Gabriel J\u00fanior, at the time, a strong and special child. The son of a Muslim mother and Christian father, he learned to live religious tolerance at home and learned about the pillars of both religions, followed Christianity, and served in evangelization missions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Gabriel J\u00fanior always had communication in his soul, becoming a radio announcer, TV presenter, and achieving great things. His passion for communication led him to radio, where he began his career on Radio Mozambique's children's program.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

He was always a child who stood out from an early age, a natural athlete who played basketball, soccer, and track and field, and was always enthusiastic about boxing. He even became a basketball coach and, together with a friend, created a club to teach moral values and discipline through sports. In sports, he became one of the most prominent sports leaders by reviving boxing and taking it to the world stage, winning world medals in several categories.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

In the field of business associations, Gabriel J\u00fanior is President of the Association for the Defense of Foreign Investment in Mozambique. He is also Vice-President of the Information and Communication Department of the Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Today, he is one of the most charismatic figures in Mozambique, one of the most popular and most awarded communicators in Mozambique, a true mobilizer of the masses. He was the first African communicator to be mentioned in a prestigious book published in Brazil about the world's great communicators. His leadership skills are not limited to communication; Gabriel is a success story when it comes to being multifaceted.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

He was a member of the Mozambican Parliament for ten years. He is a businessman and founder of one of the most prestigious media groups in Mozambique, Grupo Sucesso, which includes TV Sucesso, one of the most watched generalist channels in Mozambique. Gabriel J\u00fanior is one of the most successful young entrepreneurs in the communications industry in Mozambique. He also heads consulting and business firms in various areas.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In addition to other interests in other areas of business, as an international consultant he has collaborated with the US-based organization ALMA, founded by African Heads of State, with the aim of supporting African countries in the fight against malaria and other neglected diseases. Today, he leads his own organization while providing consulting services to various organizations.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Gabriel was also a representative of the people, a member of the Assembly of the Republic for the Frelimo parliamentary group, having served two terms on the Ethics and Parliamentary Mandate Committee. In parliament, he was also part of the parliamentary friendship group between Mozambique and Sweden.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Gabriel J\u00fanior has been involved in sports since he was a child. In 2017, he took over as president of the Mozambican Boxing Federation at a time when the sport had fallen into oblivion. Together with his team, he worked on the internal reorganisation of the sport, distributed rings, legalised associations, and promoted the holding of regular internal championships, which led Mozambique to win its first historic title in Southern Africa. Subsequently becoming a two-time champion, with him, Mozambique was champion of Africa, participated for the first time in the world championship, being the first team from sub-Saharan Africa to win two medals in a world championship, and won medals in the Commonwealth Games.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Under Gabriel J\u00fanior's leadership, boxing returned to the limelight, reaching the top of the best African teams. In Mozambique, the Boxing Federation has received several awards for best federation at the Sports Gala, attended by the President of the Republic. Its coach and athletes have been among those awarded and decorated with the sports medal by the Mozambican State. Also during Gabriel J\u00fanior's era, Mozambique gained a seat and vote in the AIBA Congress. He was the first Mozambican invited to join the marketing department of AIBA, the body that oversees world boxing.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Mozambican boxing reached its peak during Gabriel J\u00fanior's leadership when, for the first time in history, it qualified the highest number of athletes for the Tokyo Olympic Games. He is also an elected member of the National Sports Council and Chairman of the Communication and Marketing Commission of the Olympic Committee.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    This successful leadership journey led Gabriel J\u00fanior to be appointed President of the African Boxing Confederation for the Southern Zone (Zone IV), which comprises 14 countries, namely: Mozambique, South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Eswatini, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Seychelles, Mauritius, Comoros, Madagascar, Namibia, Angola, and Zambia.<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
